'MOUNTAINSCAPES' is a design project for the brand SWGT. SWGT by Shweta Gupta as she says is a "traveller's design journey", in her words, "it is the interaction of self with the surroundings, and the surroundings being mountains for me, because it is where I grew up, to find inspiration and create designs stemming from my escapades." This project was developed after a thorough study of the brand's philosophies and their design language, the signature construction details like pleats, tucks and smocking, their love for handwoven textiles and the stellar use of crafts such as hand-embroidery and crochet.
Design developed for the brand with their signature techniques and details, in three color ways. A smocked crop top with an exaggerated ruffle collar; Asymmetric hand-embroidered jacket with tie-up detailing on one side and baggy trousers with sheer, hand-embroidered panels and structured, pleated petals near the hip.
