A SNOWY DAY - THE FIRST SNOW

THE FIRST SNOW
————————————————————
A SNOWY DAY

Do you remember my photo series “A Rainy Day – The Dark” that I took in the middle of autumn on a rainy October day (if not, check it out here)?
Yesterday morning, I woke up by the neighbors' snowshoeing. It snowed. Very much even, whole 5 cm lay. But it melted, unfortunately. Snow is very unusual for our region...

I looked at the clock, it was Sunday, just before 10. I knew that if I waited another 1-2 hours, all the snow would be gone. I looked out of the window, it was still snowing lightly, there were wisps of fog everywhere, no sun to be seen for miles. Same conditions as my photo series "Frozen Drone - Dark Foggy Winter". You haven't seen it either? Here! I immediately jumped up, took a quick shower, and grabbed
my drone. The roads were almost clear again, plus there were lots of people out and about already kicking the snow flat. I was
running a little late. Still, I was prepared. Better than last time. I didn't like my last snow pictures that much. They were more
grayish than white. Of course the fog was partly to blame, but also my camera. I read around a lot on the internet and came
to the decision to buy ND filters for my drone. The current pictures were taken with a ND16 filter. Despite fog and bad
weather, the snow has become much whiter. I personally like these pictures much better than the ones before. Once
again, Iwent to one of my favorite places. Now, without leaves, you can see why. Beside the road a small brook
goes through the forest, which can be crossed by a bridge (see comparison picture autumn - winter).
A very nice and quiet place.

I hope you like my new series of pictures!
