Do-It-Yourself Paper Effigies re-interprets the Chinese tradition of burning paper offerings through a more hands-on approach.
These kits require the user to cut, fold and stick to construct the 3-dimensional paper objects of customisable items. Choosing which paper objects to assemble allows one to take greater control of how one deals with the process of loss. The commemoration process, while being more laborious, thus becomes more intimate and personalised.
