TypoLyrics Contribution

In March I was invited to participate in the Thai Typolyrics exhibition in Granshan Non Latin Type Conference by Magma Brand Design.

Type: Zood Phutorn

Song: Lao Duang Deun / Duangporn Phasuk

This is a song written in the beginning of the 20th century by a Thai prince who lost his love. It has been covered several times.
Below is the review of The Typolyrics at Brownsugar from ThaiPBS, national Thai TV channel:
[Excerpt from the official press release]

"Slanted BABYLON deals with Non-Latin typefaces and be released at Granshan Non-Latin type conference in Bangkok (TH) in the end of July. Besides essays, interviews, a photographic science-fiction story and non-Latin typefaces which illuminate the theme, there is also a number of new Thai TypoLyrics in the magazine. These are also part of the touring exhibition TypoLyrics which takes place in Bangkok from July 20th to August 18th, 2013."

Most of you would ask, what is Typolyrics?

"For TypoLyrics [...] designers from all over the world have taken song lyrics and used them as the inspiration for innovative font designs. The result is a collection of more than 170 fascinating visuals – typographic images that present contemporary fonts a little bit differently."
