The Sound of Waves (潮騒, Shiosai, 1954) is a novel by the Japanese author Yukio Mishima. It is a coming-of-age story of the protagonist Shinji and his romance with Hatsue,the beautiful daughter of the wealthy ship owner Terukichi. For this book, Mishima was awarded the Shincho Prize from Shinchosha Publishing in 1954. It was published in 2021 by Nha Nam Publishing House, the final book covers have 4 editions in the form of jackets and hard covers.
