Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) Carried out the study on the design life assessment of the shuaiba oil pier until 2036 through a consultant MS, AECOM, the study identified that the piles of the approach trestle and the north arm structures have insufficient reserve capacity to a safely sustain the design loads until 2036 , thus recommended repairs to several; areas to the existing piles including various preservations measures to be undertaken . The purpose of the scope is to carry out pile rehabilitation as per the repair recommendations
- This slide shows the difference in Cash flow Metric when construction and repair works are injected and mobilized by ground vehicle methods vs by ship maneuvering , shows a increase in Earned value when Transportation is used by ships
- KNPC also Planed to replace the fender system (fender body and frontal frames with its accessories like PEpads , Pad Fixing bolts , Frame fixing bolt, Chainsd and "U" anchors) for Berths 31 32 & 33
