Opportunity
This project began when eight designers were asked to name random things that could be touched. Then they were asked to name something metaphysical. Finally, they drew connections between any two words at random. These pairs then became the project. Hair and voice was the pair I selected. I then researched and found a strong connection between these two words and created a product that followed my concept.
Solution
The connection I concluded with were people with a strong voice tend to be activists for what they believe in. ACTivist was created to bring a voice to hair. Three different products were created for curl activation, straightening, and perm fixation. These three products activate the hair in different ways to perform different results.
