Graphic design in branding, advertising and marketing has been the main focus within my practice. I love how a strong visual brand can communicate so much and transform the way consumers view an organisation and behave towards it. As a designer in today’s society I believe these skill sets are becoming more and more important.

There have been extreme changes in society, our economy and the way we communicate which presents many new challenges where creative thinking and communication is key. The approach that I have taken towards my briefs this year has been in response to modern society. The key themes which run throughout my projects are the importance of wellbeing, positivity and taking time for yourself. Now, more than ever, I feel that considered communication of these themes is of meaningful value.

I work in a very simplistic, bold design style to create clear and impactful communication. In my honours year I aimed to develop a portfolio of work that demonstrates a variety of skills. Most recently, I have developed proficiency in motion graphics. This was a clear next step in my creative practice to increase engagement by bringing my designs to life.
