Product Style and Identity

Existing Cat Perch - Desktop research
I made a desktop research to map all kind of cat perch products and concept, even DIY solutions.
Ideation
Based on discovering the market, designs and materials + analising current furniture and interior design trends I started to brainstorm and draft as many quick concept ideas as possible.
Concepting
I started to form unique concepts from the selected ideas and details with development potentials. I used digital sketching to create 10 distinct concept. Below Im showing 2 chosen by the customer.
Detail development
It was a requirement to make the mounting simple and effortless, so we discovered some potential mounting variations. For the "Plateau" it was straight forward to go with drywall screws with no additional mounting required.  Below I want to show some rough visuals of mounting directions of the "Vista" perch.
The final mount was proposed by the manufacturer, which distributes the force on the drywall much better.
The final products
Vista
My aim was to create an elegant platform with the right balance of visual impact in the owner’s room.
Plateau
My intention was to create a playful hideaway for the cat and an exciting piece of wall furniture in the interior.
Thank you!
