I was just finishing my Christmas list a week ago, when Capital Newspaper contacted me to draw the cover of their latest issue. The vivid illustration represents all the topics that you will find while reading it. Especially working and getting in touch with nature. 

I decided to show a person who has moved his office into the wild with his pets. You can see the bliss on his face as he has released all of them from their golden cages. Free. As he and they are supposed to be.

Tranquility. Such a big word for something so simple. What do you really need to feel calm and relaxed? A small pond, a family of ducklings and some fresh air. Throw in a gorgeous Italian villa and the picture is complete.

Speaking of pictures, this painting shows my ideal vision of serenity. The young woman is working on a project, focused on her craft. The computer monitor doesn’t show it, but she is smiling, because everything around her gives her peace. This is her small oasis of tranquility.
