Posters designed to promote the Latin American and Caribbean Festival in the People’s
Friendship University of Russia. In 2013 the theme of the festival was “The Golden Century” working on the new age after the celebrations of the 13th Baktun on December 21st 2012. In order to reflect that the style of illustration and other materials related to the event were done in the style of Mayan engravings and strokes of color just like the ones found in cave paintings.

In 2014 the theme changed to “One world, one people, one time” and while the previous year the design focused primarily on the Pre Hispanic side of the continent, this edition tried to convey the rich and interesting mix of heritages found in the region, the indigenous Pre Hispanic side with their millenial traditions and the african side that overcame slavery and established itself developing their own view of what their ancestors achieved back in Africa, blending it with the new surroundings. Other than designing materials for the event, I was also part of the logistics team during the events and concert at the end of the week.
