Bani Sweif
Meidum pyramid
Cave of Sanor Valley
Our 12 hour mission to explore two great icons in Bani sweif, "Meidum pyramid" and "Cave of Sanor Valley".
Meidum, Maydum or Maidum is an archaeological site in lower Egypt. It contains large pyramids and several mudbrick "mastabas". The pyramid was Egypt's first straight-sided one, but it partially collapsed in ancient times. The area is located around 62 miles (100 km) south of modern Cairo.
Cave of Sanor Valley was declared a nature reserve in 1992, located 40 kilometers east of Beni Sweif and about 200 kilometers from Cairo. the cave extends about 700 meters below ground level, with a depth of 15 meters, and width of approximately 15 meters. it is divided into two parts, one of which contains complete formations (stalactites and stalagmites) and the other contains calcium deposits in different forms. And it is believed that there is another cave under this cave.
