Lofoten & Lyngen Powder Expedition

LOFOTEN & LYNGEN
POWDER EXPEDITION
12 days spent in solitude. Yes. We can define the far north with just one word: loneliness. vastness, low density of civilization and immensity of nature combine to coin this term which describes our experience so well beyond the Arctic circle.
None of us had ever gone so high on the map before and nobody at least did it in the middle of winter!
We went so far north to seek pure adventure and a good dose of fun. Our goal was, in fact, to climb the greatest number of snowy slopes and then to ski them, furrowing the abundant soft and fresh snow that lay down at
walls.
However, everything was governed by a solid experience in our mountains, the Dolomites, and good decision-making and organizational skills.
Unfortunately, the snow conditions during our stay did not turn out to be the best and the abundant snowfalls weighed heavily on the snowpack which proved to be very inclined to detach itself, generating dangerous avalanches. In fact, our exaltation had to subside, leaving room for the rationality that led to the right decisions and difficult renunciations of very enticing itineraries.
Of 12 nights we decided to spend 7 nights in extreme freedom and adventure equipping our winter huts with tents.
Real arctic camping that gave us the opportunity to admire natural beauty in all its power and majesty. Boundless mountain ranges, immense fjords filled with icy water and splendid northern lights have surrounded us throughout our stay in Norway. Obviously, there was no lack of snow storms, freezing and pungent winds and, to say the least, cold temperatures. The whole, all the nature that has invested us so impetuously has remained fixed in our minds and will remain forever in our memories.
