I'm not artist but I do enjoy decorating the envelopes of my letters. I have a stamp with my name, picture, and home address (blocked out here). It is one of my favorite things I own.
Letter Writing
I have been writing letters ever since I could write. Well, not really but I have been writing letters for a long time. I would often write letters to my family and friends at camp and then to my camp friends after the summer ended. My letter writing really picked up when I decided that instead of buying my grandparents, aunt, and uncle a gift for Christmas , I would write them one letter each month as an update on my life. I've been doing that for three years now and they love it and I love it. In June 2020, I started writing to a penpal. She's the same age as me and lives in Ohio while I live in Pennsylvania. It has been so much fun to write to her and get to know her only through letter-writing. I've never loved journaling but I think of letter-writing as basically journaling.
What I write in my letters...
Definitely depends on who and why I am writing. Here are some of the things I often write about:
Everything having to do with school. extracurricular sports.job prospects.fun days with friends and family.holidays.the weather. hopes for next month.
My filing system. I have sections for my mom, dad, sisters, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and camp friends
