When she learned about the difficulties faced by children in rural parts of Northeast India because of early sunset and infrequent power supply, Charu Monga, an IIT professor, came up with a unique idea. She designed a low-cost backpack with solar lights using recycled plastic. The ‘Jugnu' bags are now solving multiple challenges in one go.
