I created an imaginary vineyard
΄΄ Vineyard Angelikaki ΄΄ is located in Samos island and produces wines from rare varieties of  Greek grapes. The main target is not the mass production but the experimental approach and restricted wine-making for the conservation and the promotion of these rare and endangered varieties, like mavrotragano, athiri, and others. The estate ΄΄ irrational ΄΄ which hosts the  ΄΄ vineyard Angelikaki ΄΄  focuses in such experimental model cultivations of traditional rare varieties of Greek agricultural products which thrive in Aegean islands.
 Etymology of the Greek word   άρρητον = irrational. (pronounced arriton). Arriton is something which cannot be expressed because it approaches perfection, exactly like irrational numbers.
I wanted the wine labels to have a story and a myth behind. So,  I choose the wines to be from Samos island. The wines have as central idea the philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras and his theories, because he came from this island. There is a myth about him and the holy numbers. The holy numbers are from one to ten. These numbers are of great value the Pythagoreans. I chose four out of them which are: (2) two, (3) three, (5) five and (7) seven, because they consist the mathematical sequence of the four first prime numbers. Those four numbers correspond to four different wine types. One main target of mine is the reveal, through this project, of dynamics of the mathematics and the Greek background which exists into this concept.
Wine is one of the most widespread national products exported from Greece and I believe it is necessary for Greek history and tradition to be projected.
