Storyboard Intro Title Sequence

Storyboard For Intro Title Sequence
 Storyboard Highlights
For the Storyboard assignment, I had to create a storyboard for an Intro Title Sequence for a pre-existing film with two other artists, Niki Ito and Heraldine Vallageurre. We started by getting acquainted with looking up references for different intro sequences to see the formula of what an intro title consists of. As a team, we pitched different films that we can recreate the intro sequence on and we chose Shawn of the Dead. We each assigned each other different roles I the character designer, Miss Vallaguere the environment design, and Miss Ito the camera angles and direction, this all with the understanding that our roles will overlap. After this, we discussed the plot and went to work sketching different ideas for the design of the intro sequence.

With the help of my team, I created the script scene by scene frame by frame so we can know exactly what we were gonna put. We wanted the story board to have the same quirkiness of the film and going a different route from the original intro title's deadpan narrative. We wanted to show the humorous side of the film, demonstrating the main more heroic side but maintaining his bubbly goofy side at the same time. For the plot, we decided to use the main character's relationship with his ex-love interest to create a scenario of him trying to regain her love with flowers chocolates and other Valentine gifts. Then the character is pulled into the zombie apocalypse scenario and with the help of his best friend fights the zombies in an attempt to save his love interest. The main character wakes up in his kitchen only to released he slept the entire night sitting down and it was all a dream....the reconciliation with his lover that is. The zombies are however where very real at the end!
