Emany Nativity Scene

Emany Nativity Scene
Emany is a minimalist nativity set, designed for French centennial company Les Etablissements Prouvost, established in 1844.

The design intention was to create figures as simple as possible while keeping the essence of nativity – so each character is represented by its essential element. By merging soft volumes together, it creates a sensible yet well-balanced mix of purity and minimalism.

The figures are made of Alabaster, a powder that gives a very smooth and fine-grained finish, like marble. In hands, the weight and soft texture provide a feeling of quality and nobility. The Alabaster is casted and hand-finished in Greece.

The monochrome and delicate texture fits seamlessly into any home, giving people the freedom to create their own arrangement using any positions and background.

The first nativity set is composed of Mary, Joseph and Jesus; the ox and the donkey; the three kings; an Angel and the shepherd with his two sheep. The collection continues to grow, with more figures and items in development.
