Escape Masquerade Ball Poster

This is part of a project I completed for my Arts 222 - Intro to Graphic Design class at Liberty University.  For this project I was asked to make an event poster for an event of my choice.  I decided to create a poster for a Masquerade Ball. After brainstorming and wordlists I landed on an elegant masquerade ball. I chose the word escape to make the event feel as though you are getting away from reality and enjoying an elegant night out away from the business of life. I used blue and gold for the colors to give more of a royal and elegant feel. I made sure to uncle some key graphic design tools that help draw the eyes of my audience where it's needed. The boldness and size of the word escape draws the audience to the name of the event. Bring the eyes down with some hierarchy in the bottom corner for the details of the event.
This is the second part of my events poster project. I was asked to create three social media posts corresponding with my chosen event. I decided to take different aspects of the poster and dedicate different posts to them. Each post included an object you would see at an elegant masquerade ball. First, I designed a lamp stand that wasn't in the poster but still gave the feel that is given throughout the poster and other posts and paired it with the website that provides viewers with more information. Second, I decided to take the chandelier from the poster and pair it with the event name. Lastly, I took the mask from the poster and paired it with the date and time of the event. I used minimal info on each post so that the viewer would be intrigued and want to know more. I did not change any of the design for the three posts so that the different aspects would remind the viewers of the poster, and vice versa.
