On this project, ma goal was creating an infographic concept for a poster based on any article of my choice.
Infographics are some of the most complex works that a graphic designer can do because they must gather typography, lettering, texts, illustration, drawing, color, charts, pictures, icons etc. in a coherent, complex and yet clear representation of the information.
I chose to make an infographic on lesser-known facts about artists, because I thought it would resonate with others people around me, as I was studying graphic design and illustration during the making of the project and surrounded with future designers and illustrators-to-be. These are facts about an artistic career that, I think, anyone should be aware of. The article can be found here.
The "path" through the facts is created by a discreet brushstroke in the background, which brings dynamism to the reader, although the paragraphs still fit in columns on the page. The icons come from this website.
