Lindt Chocolate Bar Rebrand Project

In this project, I introduce a new trio of flavors and packaging inspired by Japanese flavors and art into the Lindt chocolate bar family. In the research and development phases I looked into Kintsugi, a Japanese ceramic-mending art that bonds broken pieces together with gold. The intricate webbing is echoed as a key texture in the background of my packaging trio with golden accents that tie three flavors together as one whole set. IvyMode is the Serif type that brings attention to the chocolate flavoring. The choice of this calligraphic serif font highlights a luxurious and classy product. Both the gold accents and marbled web further emphasize that Lindt is more than simply chocolate, but a gourmet experience.

My first move was to analyze Lindt Chocolate branding, history, competitors, and any information I find crucial to solidify my concept. I create mood boards for each flavor I was brainstorming and then I create low fidelity chocolate bar prototypes (to scale) for a deeper understanding and reference of the elements I design.
A key graphic element in my product packaging in the webbed elements of Kintsugi. I took this calligraphic stroke then put it through editing and vectorizing in Photoshop/Illustrator.
