Redesigning an electric guitar for a charity in need
Completed while at the School of Visual Arts' Designer as Author program, our teacher Kevin O'Callaghan gave my fellow classmates and I a brand new Fender Squire Guitar with the instructions to take it apart and redesign it for a charity of our choice in need. My selection was the New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund which deals with displaced musicians still in need from Hurricane Katrina. With Mardi Gras approaching, and it being the symbol of the region, I made my guitar into a second line umbrella.
