Forchette a mensa
"Forks in the canteen" is a research/collection (50 forks total) that lasted more than a year and was born from a phenomenon that has certainly afflicted all users of Urbino's uni canteen service, at least once in their university experience. Biodegradable tableware is used in the canteen which, as such, react to heat, by deforming themselves. Fascinated, I found myself collecting forks, also asking my companions to do so.
I found it curious how these deformations - and breaks in some cases - no longer allowed me to eat properly my meal, eliminating the utility and efficiency of the fork's purpose; this also sprang into my imagination a series of characters with fascinating stories, or idea on how they could be turned into other useful objects.
