Starting from the analysis of Sovietskiy Soyuz, one of the leading magazines
of the period, we analyzed the historical and political context of the publication
and the Soviet propaganda led during the Stalinist period until USSR’s dissolution.
By comparing it with similar russian magazines of the time, we understood the systematic nature, the themes and the representation of the propaganda, the way it was spread
and also how the anticommunist propaganda led by UK and USA in the 50ies tried
to neutralize the Soviet one.
