Using the article “Seeing Red” by Steven Heller in which he explores the many different things the colour red represents, create an illustrative double spread layout. With the article there was a lot of imagery to work from, but what caught me was the voice of the writer. This in part contributed to my slightly twisted, fun conceptualisation. He has a certain playful quality
to the way he explores the topic. My concept revolves around making it fun and quirky but different. Slightly twisted. Not what the viewer would expect when they look close. Rolling Stone magazine often does this, creating weird and wonderful artworks of the double spread layout.
