The cover story is for a recurring annual event honoring Hispanic women who have broken new ground against all odds and were being significant to Arizona's heritage and history. With "Trailblazers" as the theme word, and having produced ideas for this over the last two years, I found the options for originality narrowing down. I decided to look at a few old book covers for inspiration and broke down the design into something more simple.
