‘평화의 씨앗’ 프로젝트는 아동학대 피해 아동이 학대에서 벗어나 그들의 자유로운 권리를 누리고, 나아가 아이들의 존재 자체가 평화로운 세상을 위한 잠재력이 되는 것을 응원하는 프로젝트입니다. 해당 제품의 순 수익금 전액은 세이브더칠드런에 전해져, 아동 학대 피해 아동의 심리치료를 위해 쓰였습니다.마리몬드는 첫 번째 동반자이신 일본군‘위안부’ 할머니와 함께하고 있으며 다음 세대의 씨앗이 될 아이 중 학대 받는 아이들을 위한 활동에도 함께하고자 했습니다. 이 캠페인의 가장 중요한 목적은 학대 피해 아이들 스스로 소중한 사람이라 느낄 수 있도록 하는 것입니다.

다음 세대는 평화로운 세상에서 살아야 한다는 김원옥 할머니(인권운동가, 일본군‘위안부’ 피해자)의 말씀, 그 속에는 평화롭지 못했던 할머니의 유년 시절에 대한 아쉬움이 묻어있습니다. 누군가의 삶이 단단해지기 전에 겪는 아픔은, 그 존재가 가진 가능성의 크기만큼이나 선명한 아픔입니다.
전쟁이 끝난 지금도 여전히 사회에는 다양한 형태의 폭력이 존재합니다. 이따금 평화는 지극히 주관적으로 느껴지기도 하죠. 그리고 우리 주변에도 세상에서 가장 안전해야 할 장소에서 누구에게도 쉽게 말할 수 없는 공포를 마주해야 하는 존재가 있습니다. ‘학대 피해 아동’입니다.

- Children : Seed of hope in love and attention, symbolizing a happy child.
Product : Whistle keyring
호루라기 키링은, 배지디자인에 호루라기를 더해 아동학대의 심각성을 알리고, 실제 위험에 처했을 때 쓸 수 있도록 제작했습니다.
The whistle-keyring added a whistle to the badge design to alert you to the seriousness of child abuse
and to use it when in real danger.
