Beer branding and packaging design for Wagtail Pilsner by Sunrise Brewing Co (fictional). This is a German style pilsner with new world hops - it's clean, crisp, with a lemony twist. I created the beer brand, beer name, logo, and artwork. The logo and artwork was inspired by humorous vintage matchbox covers which were treated as blank canvases by illustrators - not dissimilar to beer labels today. The Willie Wagtail, an Australian native backyard bird was chosen for its cheeky, bold, and cheerful nature and aligns with the laid-back personality of the brand.
