Etchings in Plaster- "Left The Mark!"

The plaster etchings shown in this project are very much a continuation of my "We Are" projects and current works on the theme of the Recession and the effect that this has on society
(see profile.)
The intention is that this project is a more visual representation of this idea and the public almost "crumbling" due to the financial times and the decay of society conceptually through the media itself.
Inspiration for this was taken from the street artist Alexandre Farto, aka "Vhils" and chose to look at making two samples that look at a one colour sample, and one two tone piece.

For the work, I still felt to keep the black and white look as shown in the reference picture and also on the previous project "Illustration and Stencil" when creating the plaster tiles shown here:

Pieces titled:
CRUMBLING AFTERMATH
&
SET IN STONE
CRUMBLING AFTERMATH

Reference Image below for first plaster tile.

The second tile is shown throughout the remainder of the project and has a much more primitive and abstract quality and makes me think of a very much caveman prehistoric style carving within the two tone piece which looks at a different style and also looks at how the recession for future generations will look at as if it has always been "set in stone."
