Waiting for Transformation - Photo Series
Değişmek, dönüşmek,
hepten değişmek, kentsel dönüşmek,
göçmek, kökten yok etmek...
Herkesin dilindeki ifade ile "çok hızlı" bir dünyada yaşıyoruz. Birçoğumuz bu hıza kendini kaptırmış durumda. Değişen insan, kentini dönüştürüyor. Terk ediyor, göçüyor, yok ediyor. İnsanlara karşı nesneler sadece bekliyor. Dönüşüm esnasında, en eski olup korunan ile en yeni olup hayranlık duyulan arasında kalan bu bekleyen kısım belki de farkında olmadan yok oluyor. Yakın geçmişimizin direnmeye çalışan değerlerine değişimin başladığı yer olan evlerimizin kapılarından dikkat çekmek istedim. Aklımdaki soru ise hep şuydu: Bakalım "Dönüşüm" onların kapısını ne zaman çalacak?

Changing, urban transformation,
migration, extermination...
Everyone says that we are living in a fast world. A big part of us is not aware of this
fast life, without thinking they are living by accepting all. With this fast life, people change and then people tranforms the cities. Sometimes they leave their cities, they migrate also they exterminate. All along the transformation, people protect the oldest and the precious ones, also the newest which are the most admired ones. However, they forgot the things between the oldest and newest, which are disappearing without noticing. Urban transformation starts from our houses, we can observe the transformation easily by looking to the doors of our buildings. Thus, I focused on the doors of thebuldings in this project. While I was taking photos, everytime I asked to myself this question:
“When "Transformation" will ring their doorbell?”
