This book is a collection of stories about my amazing Poppa's life. He has lived a fascinating life being raised on a farm at a time when life on the Prairies was a harsh life; getting his pilots license at the age of sixteen; he was a Captain in the Air Force; lived through several floods, he was on tv for swing dancing; he was a musician; and a mechanic; a comedian; and a star athlete. He is also one of the nicest and caring people I know and his positive attitude attracts people to him with a magnetic force. There was nothing he could not do, until he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a number of years ago. As I have watched my poppa’s memory slowly fail him, it became important to me to capture his favourite memories in a book so he can always have them and they can be passed down to the generations to come.
