ROCKET SHIP BATTLE FORMAT
The Intro of the game to my asteroid game, and its thumbnail side by side. I needed to make an eye-catching thumbnail so then it introduces the main player without revealing much of the game play.

The Font in the first page is used to give off the presence that this is a Sci-Fi type game, just blasting asteroids in space. With no time limit or point racking.
Here you can see my Sketches of what I was going to put into my game before ultimately deciding to stay with real life objects and staying with the colored rocket to be my main player. I even had to think about the engine, I simply redrew an engine flame from what we had beforehand and redrew it with the color pattern from the spaceship.
The rocks below are the real life objects I used to place as Asteroids in the game. I made sure to use two different rocks to show the difference in between the asteroids that spawned in the game.

The Skeletons next over are what we shoot out of the spaceship for the asteroids to be destroyed. When selecting the items, I wanted something that stood out but still oddly matched the game's theme. with the real life rocks as asteroids my skulls were able to fit nicely and in game, they are a tiny size; so they aren't that noticeable.
As mentioned earlier, here's the engine that I redrew and colored to give the spaceship a nice effect and design to it but not that different for then it can match easily. I would've added another color to add volume to the fire but I had quite some heavy loading on my plate at the time.
Below are gifs that contains game elements to show how the game looks, or what you would be expecting when playing it.
The first(top left), one shows you the animation of the spaceship being destroyed and the Game Over screen you would see at the end of the gam.
Second(top right), simply an asteroid swimming in space, they don't target you in space but if you don't destroy them in time, they'll swarm up any space and eliminate you through sheer force.
Third gif(bottom left), this gif was slowed down to show how it looks shooting the rocket, and you can see the skeleton rocket from here!
Fourth and final gif(bottom right), is as simple as the second, just swimming in space!
As you can see, despite my multiple arrangements, the spaceship was still difficult to move and play but once you have the controls under control, you can easily move around.

You can also watch the asteroid be destroyed, it was another effect I had to work on. Easier then the engine and had to be a little more creative, in four frames you can create quite an eye pleasing effect to the game.
The Link below should allow you to go into the window and play the game if you ever have the chance. If you want to see more of my work, I have another Behance page for another game made.
