Sage and Barb character design (late 2019)

This was a character design project I set for myself by creating animals with to opposing personalities to each other.

With sage being a confident peppy bird showing beauty and grace.

While her opposition is Barb bunny a uptight (bunny boiler) scorned woman character who hates about anything and everyone and only tolerates Sage.

I wanted to reverse the rolls of the animals they are based of off sage being based off a secretary bird witch is a bird of prey being upbeat and kind while barb being a common hutch rabbit that are normally fearful and cute being fearless and quite ruthless.
