I was about to end the first cycle of studies in Land Architecture (Bachelors) and it was time to put up a portfolio comprising 4 years of work. I was so much into editorial design and graphic design at this stage that I decided to create a 'magazine/big booklet' as Portfolio instead of the traditional PDF portfolio. This is the is Result along with its process.

Though there was the goal of printing the final result out, the project remained fully digital until this day.

in short:

My journey in the field of Landscape Architecture began at the University of Porto at its Science Faculty in 2008 where I graduated from in the summer of 2012. These bachelor studies had a strong scientific background : ecology, geology, physical geography, botany, but also technical background : green space management and construction techniques along with the fundamentals of the Landscape Architecture profession.

When the first cycle of studies terminated, a Portfolio was put together in order to apply for job positions or exciting internships in the landscape architecture field, particularly in the field of spatial design. A Process that I have named altogether LU'S. LUS (in english looz) sounds like 'LUZ' in portuguese which means 'Light' which means lightt in Portuguese language.

Light - enlightenment. School provided me a strong scientific background and very little artistic input. Engaging in Land. architecture studies along with practicing photography and dedicating myself to graphic design can be considered a path of enlightenment.

Objectives of LU'S :

Create visuals. / Improve visuals. / Communicate by displaying my work while sharing simultaneously bits of my experience throughout University years in a daring way. (bachelor studies) / Engage with graphic design right after so many years of science.
