During my stay in Pultusk Castle (below is a nice panorama picture i found )...
... i came up with a few ideas to paint. Especially i was inspired by the restaraunt in which we were having our meals. It had this old elegant look with fantastic lighting, and atmosphere.  My friend here portrayed sitting is young and wearing this fairly bright colorful shirt which is contrasting the fancy, neatly organised background. That day we were served with pickles, some ham and lettuce and a little bit of rice for appetizer so i thought  painting should be called "Royal pickles".
The second painting is another participant of plenair. Late in the evening very were given some free time so we decided to play billiard here in the castle. It turned out that my friend is a very good player although only beginner ( maybe just beginners luck? ). When she was about to hit the ball i asked her to stop and strike me pose because i had this inner eye feeling that it may be a good painting. In the end it turned out pretty nice; her white hair gave me this nice contrast with background, i also played with some compositional details like the table itself isn't a straight line, the hand is expanded so to give it more weight and so on.
The third one is very simple. I had this nice view from my room with this clock tower so i decided why not to do self-portrait. The main thing i focused on that my face was in shadow and the castle was lit with this kind of intense sunlight.
