Navadurga in Kerala Mural by Swetha Sridharan

Navadurga in Kerala Mural
Navaratri (nine nights) is one of the greatest Hindu festivals. It symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. This festival is celebrated for nine days. Navratri is also known as Durga Puja, dedicated to Durga, the mother goddess who also represents power. Durga annihilated the demon Mahishasura after a relentless battle lasting nine days and nights.⠀⠀⠀⠀
Navadurga or Nabadurga are nine manifestations of the goddess Durga in Hinduism, worshipped during the festival of Navratri where each of the nine manifested forms are venerated respectively for each night. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The nine forms of Goddess Parvati are: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidhatri.⠀⠀⠀

This series is illustrated in a beautiful indian folk art form- Kerala Mural. Hope you enjoy this.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
