A high workload is a risk factor for muscle discomfort, as is physical inactivity. 40% of employees who work at the computer have low back pain. This is why It is highly recommended to get up every hour and stretch inside the work area.
Challenge
Gesab, a Barcelona based company, commissioned me to illustrate 8 characters aged between 20 and 55 years old. Each of these characters performs a series of stretching exercises in the work area and will be used to remind the user to get up and perform the exercises suggested by the company, to avoid muscle injuries.
Solution
The designs use a reduced palette of three main colors, making the characters simple, relatable, and recognizable.
Workplace Ergonomics Catalog
A publication was designed for the company, compiling all the exercises and important information regarding health and workplace ergonomics.
