This freelance project was done for an app that is still in the making. I was asked to create a set of chess pieces that are different from what other chess apps and games have. As this app would be a voice commanded chess game, my client wanted something more modern; he wanted to give a new look to the usual classical designed chess pieces. 

I decided to go super simple with bold lines in order for them to work best on a small screen like a smartphone. I created a grid based on a square in which they would all have to evenly fit within in the app. I decided to keep all the pieces around the same height for aesthetic consistency.
