"Danse de La Grave"
Made in collaboration with Poppy Press workshop, this "Danse de La Grave" is my first project ever using the hot foil printing process.
The main subject is the dome de La Grave, which is a well known historical building in Toulouse, overhanging La Grave hospital on the edge of La Garonne; in the old days, the hospital treated the plague epidemic. We wanted to illustrate this macabre moment of History with a happy skeleton danse.
Poppy Press workshop is standing nearby the Dome and the owner Katalin, who wanted to create a print for Halloween, suggested that I do the illustration. She made 6 colors variants, and we're very happy with the result!
