Shibori x Bandhani
India’s Bandhani goes parallel with Japan’s Shibori, both are tie dye techniques
of printing. “Banda” means to tie and “Shiboru” means to squeeze or crumple.
In Both of the techniques cloth is tied in different ways to create different
patterns. The concept revolves around showing the similar sensibility
coming from both the regions.The idea is to create a visual showing the
traditions coming from Rajasthan, India that Fabindia gives us along
with the touch of Japanese silhouettes used in the collection.
