Here, I have added illustrations I made for various internships and assignments, since 2010.
This is a poster I made for reap benefit in 2011.
Caption " Soon mother earth will weep, she will beg for her life. She will cry with tears of blood. You will then make a choice, to help her or to let her die. And if she dies, you will die too.
This was a few months ago in 2013, I found a frog sitting on a pot in my balcony, I quickly sketched it, and later stylized it.
I did this during my internship Alison Byrnes in 2013. She had a series of paintings called "regicides", she painted pairs, each pair included king/ queen and the person who killed them. I took these pairs and gave them a morbid, unsettling background which resonated with the theme.
This was a poster I did for the Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing at the Indian Institute of Science in 2010. This was an iteration for their website. They dealt with making cutting edge products inspired by life forms. Insipiration : M.C Escher.
This was for an assignment in college. We were supposed to write a "what if....." story and illustrate it.
My story:
She cried a billion tears,
for they couldn't see what she could.
From Unicorns to mermaids and exotic lands;she saw them all.
Who were they to judge?
"Sweetheart its just a small surgery,and you'll finally be able to see!"
She grew angry when she heard this and walked away.
Her mother persisted "If you don't do this, you will never know what it is like to see.Imagine how many beautiful things you'll miss out on"
After months of persuasion,she finally agreed.
The next day after the operation,she slowly opened her eyes
only to find emptiness and dread.
This for one my first classes in college, we were supposed to illustrate a machine in the workshop, and write a few precautionary measures one had to take while using the machinery. I chose the chop saw!
This was an art piece done by Shipra koyal and I , We took our insipration from our sketch books after sketching at MG road and the Someshwara temple in Ulsoor.
