"SLAG is an attack on reality where panic tries to climb till the surface of things"
SLAG is a series of ceramic sculptures made by Marco Ceroni during an artist's residence at Museo Carlo Zauli in Faenza. The project is powered by GALLLERIAPIÙ, an independent contemporary art gallery of Bologna, that become a Temporary Store to launch “SLAG.

Taking inspiration from several existing collaborations in the field of music and fashion, “SLAG” aims to activate this way of exchange through several featuring involved in this project: the digital campaign for the launch of the "limited ed." is curated by the photographer Toni Brugnoli. The display of the exhibition involves wall painting by the street artist Giorgio Bartocci and the visual artist Stefano Serretta. The packaging design and the development of “SLAG” Brand Identity are curated by the graphic designer Gabriele Colia. The video content by the director and curator Veronica Santi.

I was called to design brand identity, motion graphics, and packaging of the project SLAG. Starting with a suggestion of the artist, I explored the power of the broken line as a metaphorical and visual synthesis of the artist's work. I designed one iconic synthesis of the artwork, a customized logotype, and series of symbols as the basement of the identity, positioning the brand as a streetwear and music project. In this process the graphic design is an active part of the project, considering the blurred line between design and artwork, between function and aesthetic.
