Understand the Problem
 - Exploring different uses of light
 - Understand ways to use light and ways light can change a photo
 - Lighting is the most important element necessary to take a picture
 - The Definition of Photography is the process of recording images on a LIGHT sensitized material by the action of LIGHT

Create 5 images of 5 techniques
    > Direct Hard Light
    > Soft Diffused or Ambient Light
    >  Side Light from a Window
    > Shadows or Purposeful Limited Light
    > Back Light

Research and Identity
 - Looking at ideas that have already been done, look for specific artists
 - Look at past photos, or reflect on past ideas
 - Research techniques
 - Increase knowledge in topic

Generate Ideas
- Try to utilize the outdoors while it permits it and natural colors.
- Lighting is great in the hall window in the afternoon, might be a good opportunity for side light.
- What are my hobbies? Anything interesting to incorporate in the photos?

Possible locations
- Back yard/front yard
- Hall Window
- Office
- Park

Props/subjects
- Prayer rocks
- Siblings
- Color changing leaves
- Books
- Wood
- Fairy garden decorations

Develop Ideas
- Photo 1 (Shadows): Create a shaped shadow, (maybe create using the curtains to direct a section of light on the desk or on the floor) with the prayer and inspiration rocks. Focus should be on the rocks and the shaped shadow.
- Photo 2 (Back Light): Create a silhouette of leaves off the front tree with a colorful sunset in the back. Focus should be on the leaves of the tree.
- Photo 3 (Direct Light): Use a fairy from CC's fairy garden collection, and capture the fairy in the direct sun off the balcony. Focus will be on the fairy.
- Photo 4 (Ambient Light): Capture soft light with hallway crystal flower décor. Focus should be on the crystal flower decoration.
- Photo 5 (Side Light): Have CC or Ben stand by the window around 4, highlight their eyes/eye color with the light from the window shining in. Focus should be on their eyes.

Test Ideas
Some of these photos were hard to shoot and capture the lighting types because of lighting or color not really turning out as pictured.
6. Evaluate
- One of the hardest parts of this project was carrying out the shots I saw in my head and planned out, when I was taking pictures. I struggle with executing photos so I'm hoping with more practice I will improve. Carrying out the photos was also difficult because sometimes the light was hard to manipulate or catch at the right time. Overall it was a fun project and if I did it again, I would definitely try to plan more of a variety of photos and figure out how to capture the lighting how I want it.
