Jacaranda World History Atlas

Jacaranda World History Atlas, John Wiley & Sons, 2012.
Maps for this World History Atlas were designed specifically for secondary school students, aged between 12 and 16. Careful consideration went into the map colours (basic primary colours that can be easily described by children), symbology (simple, with no more than five different classes in a hierarchy), and fonts (clean, simple and able to be read in print and on screen, and as much as possible placed horizontal for ease of reading).
The atlas was recently awarded best educational product at the ICC2013 (International Cartographic Conference 2013) in Dresden, Germany, as well as Secondary Reference Resource of the year and Outstanding Book of the Year at the Australian Educational Publishing Awards 2013.
