This is the preview for Atoh Studio's IP (Intellectual Property) bible, called EKADA. Consist of five people; where I mainly work in story development and the environment art in the visual development.
EKADA is a 2D animated comedy adventure television series. This series follows the adventure of a puzzle solver, Raka, and a treasure hunter, Ollie, to solve the mystery from ancient civilization that resided in their home, Ekada.
PREMISE
When two best friends accidentally uncover a secret that leads them to more mysteries from ancient civilization.
LOGLINE
A puzzle solver helps a treasure hunter to solve the mystery from ancient civilization must face with a greedy enemy.
MEET THE CHARACTERS
RAKA
A genius and anti-social puzzle solver
OLLIE
Raka's best buddy who is a cheerful and airheaded treasure hunter
GUNTUR
Raka and Ollie's enemy who is a greedy treasure hunter and love to steal treasures they found
RUBIK & KAMERA
Raka's imaginary friends who help in the adventure
ENVIRONMENT
Ekada is an island in the middle of the Pacific ocean surrounded by rocky hills and small islands. Long ago, the land where Ekada stands till now was a kingdom with thousand of treasures from around the world, but tragedy and betrayal made the whole kingdom collapsed with its treasures hidden and scattered all over Ekada.
This is a few environment concept art for Ekada. For the beach and island, I took reference from Raja Ampat, Indonesia; and for the main town buildings from Garachico, Spain.

▸ Warung Dahareun is a diner where Raka and Ollie hangout at
▸ Goa Bajak Laut (The Pirate's Cave) is a cave where Raka and Ollie visit to see the sea monster that mysteriously appears in Pantai Mutiara
▸ SMP Pelangi (Pelangi School) is Raka, Ollie, and Guntur's school located near the central town.
