I did my fourth sustained investigation project on Texas A&M Baseball. I have a friend who plays on the baseball team in College Station and wanted to do something about the team and incorporate special players and iconic moments. I started my first placing image of a hitter, Hunter Coleman, a player who really embraces the 12th man mantra.
the second cut-out I had was of my friend Jonathan Childress, he's soon to represent the current long lineage of 1st and 2nd round draft picks at Texas A&M and has been one of the community favorites ever since battling back from Tommy John surgery. This image also helped to display part of the variety of uniform and color from the norm.
The next cutout is 3rd overall pick, Asa "Ace" Lacy. He was the highest overall draft pick in TAMU history and was the spark plug of the new generation of Aggie Baseball.
The next piece of incorporation is a playoff celebration in the SEC and helped include some cool action into the overall image. The specific player being worked on in this piece is Braden Shewmake, an A&M favorite who was recently drafted in the 1st round.
The second part the the "action image" cutout. The use of two pieces displaying one gives me multiple senses of versatility in being able to adjust ad adhere to my image.
The final image was able to identify and express the iconic image of TAMU. The name and player-likeness across the campus has brought the program to a nationwide level of notoriety. The incorporation of the iconic logo and colors help to bring it all into a sense of the basis found in College Station.
