FUTURE TELLING MACHINE (Bhavishya Ka Pitara)
The future telling attempt was a collaborative public art project with two friends, Yatish and Harman. This was displayed at Central Park in New Delhi. The future machine looked to produce a mythical account in the form of a counter narrative or counter memory. The screen on the machine would flash a set of seemingly mundane questions which were answered by pressing buttons and in exchange show them the future. It tried to also think of economics of living to guarantee a future by adding a coin slot that would take any money(value) you can offer. It also played with the idea of believability that elaborate machinations produce, and the disappearance of human from the regime of truth making.
