the track is a strange "soft' mess no clunkyness, everything is mounted on rubber brackets.
Like a Kandinskiy painting so uncomfortably laid out both clean and messy.
i need to consider different aspects of what the word electronic and technology could mean and look like in visual outcomes. possibly clashing the old and the new comparing and combining.
This is Holly Herndon's Chorus through my oscilloscope.
Here i have found a way to connect a micro KORG synth to my oscilloscope, in doing so i can experiment more with this connection between the audio visual. I spent hours twisting nobs, attempting to make a perfect audio visual sound but it didn't end up as successful as I initially had hoped. despite this it was still worth doing, adding more to the catalogue to later reference.
These are some test using a fax machine, collating stills from my audiovisual piece.
This is a SHARP UX-130 thermal fax machine that i managed to get hold of from a lovely old gentleman in Droylsden (greater Manchester). For the modest price of ten pounds. It also came with six new rolls of thermal paper which is some precious stuff!.

The idea behind using the fax machine was that it was very much in keeping with my concept and what i was currently doing with the oscilloscope, appropriating old technology to make it do things that it wasn't specifically designed to do. This is something in which i am alleyways very keen on exploring in a brief where relevant, the physical modification and re-appropriation of forgotten machines.
Trying to capture the visuals on the oscilloscope effectively proved to be harder than expected. as the electron beam is moving so fast inside the scope the camera struggles to truly capture what is actually being displayed on the screen. I tried many different camera's rooms, lighting setups and audio setups but still wasn't happy with the result.
l this is something that defiantly needs more time and consideration to really do the oscilloscope justice.
