Project Summary:
A digital campaign that may, in a myriad of creative ways, make people sit up, take notice and think twice about what they believe; a message that lands cleanly and impactfully. To structure and support communication, a campaign is packaged in a catchy way that allows people to recognise it, refer to it and possibly use it in the fight against false information.

Design Strategy:
Most people that read fake news often suspect that the news online is misconstrued or from an illegitimate source. However, many individuals do not make the effort to check an alternative source or conduct further research. This campaign aims to highlight the importance of assessing the credibility of a news source as opposed to spreading fake news. The visuals presented encapsulate the idea of #RatherMakingSure.The poster depicts a peace sign. A palm facing towards the viewer symbolises peace whereas a palm facing away, is an offensive insult. Either way around could translate as the number two. This demonstrates how information can easily be misconstrued online and how an individual only believes in the reality with which he is presented.
