With the influx of refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp, access to vital services such as education is strained. It is estimated that there are sixty five thousand refugee students attending less than fifty schools. Owing to limited income generation opportunities, refugee families are unable to afford the costs of school supplies leaving refugee students to rely on schools’ provision of text books and other learning material.
